ok so i i talk to my friend with the shop... looks like were not gonna get enough people to do the dyno, so i met up qyel tonight and we decide to have the BBQ at papago park on sept. 11... maybe around 5pm so we can BBQ for a couple of hours and then cruise to the pavs...

now we can get a list started of what people are going to bring

And maybe some coleslaw from my work if anyone else likes it

Do we need to save a ramada or anything like that?
Every one going needs to bring something like food, drinks, utensils and etc.
Post that you're going and what you are bringing so the list can be updated.

ill take like 3 kilos and a few onions to make a carne asada...  with the sauce and tortillas...  someone take guacamole...  if that's not enough for everybody... then u guys take some more meat

I know its been a while since I havent posted here... Ive been busy with grad school, but hopefully some of you still remember me (my username at least since I havent met u in person)...
I was talking to gustavo yesterday, and I may be able to come too... maybe contribute to the carne asada. Im from hermosillo too, living in tucson, so... i have legit carne asada cooking skills... haha

hopefully shit wont be too crazy for me, I do have my oral comprehensive exam around the end of september, but for now, ill plan on being there

Any preference for the location? A few of the ramadas are reservation only, mostly the ones by the lakes, the others are first come first serve.

I thonk it's $35 for most of the reservations. Who wants to pay? Any ideas? Can someone call tomorrow and get the availabilty for the date? This needs to happen soon if there is a chance for reserving one. I get spotty cell phone service in Illinois right now or I would call.

Idk the park closes at 7pm that gives us 2hrs to meet n eat.
Since its going to be a late picnic we might be able to get the first come first serve ramadas.
If we take that chance then we need to bring simple food thats ready to eat and not grill.
Like subs, pizza, chips and etc.
We'll need more time to fire up the grill and cook burgers and hotdogs.

so why dont we start earlier?  does it have shade? roof? if it does we can start like at 3... fire up the grill and have food cooked in 2 hrs... and that gives more time to hang out...

Fosho. Jason volunteered to pay for the reservations and all the food [Besides the chips, I'll be bringing those]. 3PM sounds like a good time to start.  I'll bring a volleyball, basketball, and football too.

it's hottest in the day around 4pm with temps cooling down after that time btw.

What should I bring? Was thinking a case of water and a cooler with ice. I can grab sodas too but I need to know what everyone drinks.
