It's true. They are usually less crowded so you get more runs in and for some reason, I've always ran faster times there compared to Firebird.

I've ran my Sentra there 5 times and the MS6 once. All but one experience was the same. In the 6 or so times I've run at Speedworld, all of my experiences were great. And when I say great, I'm referring to 10+ runs per night and much better times than Firebird (by at LEAST a half second). I think they prep better at Speedworld. Either that or their track runs slightly downhill. hahaha. Downside to Speedworld is the distance I have to drive.

Would the distance be out weighed by the number of supporters there cheering you on!?

pardon my ignorance but... this seems like an ok thread to ask.... are there any racetracks here in arizona, not for drag racing, but tracks where u can actually do laps? I really wanna race my car and get to see its potential in a track.

Yeah for sure. Firebird International Raceway and Phoenix International Raceway. PIR is longer than FIR, I believe. My fiance ran his s14 at PIR last November and he LOVED it.

If it's Firebird drag then they run on Friday's. Speedworld runs on Saturdays.

i read some about the nasa AZ... does that mean i have to sign up and pay all that stuff to be able to race my car? or are there other ways to get into a track? (not drags)

You have to have a NASA membership which is $45/yr. Then you just keep an eye out for the schedules and start with HPDE1. DE1 includes classroom instruction and then an instructor rides with you and teaches you various things. They're usually around $115ish for a single track day but well worth it, IMO.

There's also PDX, an SCCA alternative to HPDE. I've never ran with them but from what I hear it's much cheaper than NASA. I just don't hear a whole lot about it from folks around here. Here's the site if you wanna read into it...
